Cyber.Bet is a sports betting site focusing primarily on esports. The operator has been online since 2018, and in 2019 it started incorporating traditional sports into its portfolio. We take a closer look at this innovative sportsbook to see if it is a good option for sports fans.

    Who are Cyber.Bet Sportsbook?

Cyber.Bet began operating in 2018 exclusively as a platform for betting on esports tournaments, and is one of the best betting sites India for that niche. The company is owned by Ice Gaming N.V. and holds a license from Curaçao. This license is complemented by a membership with the Esports Integrity Commission. Unlike many sportsbook sites, the team at Cyber.Bet decided to build the platform in-house.

In 2021, Cyber.Bet is still predominantly a site for esports betting. Other sports events are now included, but the operator cannot yet be said to provide a comprehensive sports betting India service. However, if you are interested in betting on esports, then Cyber.Bet could be a good fit for you.

Pros & Cons of Using Cyber.Bet

In our extensive testing of Cyber.Bet, we found much to praise about the platform. It is clear that the operator has spent a lot of time and effort to build a good reputation as an esports betting provider. There are some great odds to be found, a large range of local and global payment options, and excellent customer support. The biggest downside to Cyber.Bet has to be the lack of range beyond the esports markets.

    Pros

    • Many esports markets with great odds
    • Lots of payment options
    • 24/7 customer support

    Cons

    • Few sports markets
    • Win limit of €10,000

    Cyber.Bet Markets

The upper limit of €10,000 (approx. ₹8.66 lakhs) for a single win does not affect the majority of sports wagering. Here it should be noted that sports betting for the purpose of making money is not recommended unless you are an expert – and even then it is not reliable. By placing this limit, Cyber.Bet are discouraging problem betting.

As the primary content is esports betting, other markets are less than comprehensive. But if you’re looking for the best esports betting sites, this is certainly the bookie to choose! Cyber.Bet has a limited number of popular sports, leagues and events to bet on. The markets for many of the sports are also restricted to just match result bets, so punters looking for more interesting special bets will be disappointed here. Cricket is present, but most of the time the only option is a 1×2 bet.

Soccer fans are probably the best served by the sports markets at Cyber.Bet. A typical match in the English Premier League offers around fifty options including handicaps, over/under predictions and correct score predictions. Only single and combo/accumulator bets are possible across all sports, so there is no possibility to make a system bet, for example. The Indian Super League is not one of the featured soccer competitions at Cyber.Bet.

Some of the restrictions are less favourable than other sites that we have reviewed. For example, the maximum win for any one bet is €10,000 (approx. ₹8.66 lakhs). Any bet or combo placed that could result in a higher win may be rendered void.

In terms of esports, Cyber.Bet offer markets on tournaments for Dota 2, League of Legends, CS:GO betting, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Rainbow 6, Hearthstone, NBA 2K, StarCraft, PUBG and various others. Full details of the types of bets that can be made on esports are available on the ‘Betting Rules’ page.

    Cyber.Bet Odds

The odds on offer at Cyber.Bet are decent and competitive, but far from the most generous available from an online sportsbook. The average payout stands at around 94% return, slightly higher for some of the football bets.

As you might expect, the odds for esports are better than those for traditional sports events. In this case they are as good or even better than what can be found elsewhere. If you are interested purely in esports betting on the big and popular tournaments, then Cyber.Bet is a good choice.

    Cyber.Bet Bonuses and Promotions

Cyber.Bet have a continually changing roster of special offers, promotions and bonuses for new and existing customers. Whenever there is a major esports competition taking place, Cyber.Bet will promote it with a limited time offer. Typically this is a deposit match claimed using a promo code that can be found on the promo page of the site. The welcome offer also changes periodically, and the one detailed here was active at the time this review was written.

Welcome Bonus: 100% deposit match up to ₹8600. The bonus is available on the first deposit, and must be claimed within 24 hours of signing up. When making a deposit, you will be prompted to enter the promo code displayed. Before any winnings can be withdrawn, the bonus must be wagered 15x with odds no lower than 1.85 (5/6).

If you miss the 24-hour deadline for the match bonus, you will be offered another, smaller deposit match using a different promo code. This is a 100% match up to a maximum of €100, and it comes with a wagering requirement of 20x. For those who wish to make a small first deposit, it may be worth waiting 24 hours in order to activate this second offer. Note that this is also a first deposit bonus, so it can only be claimed if you missed the initial offer deadline.

As previously mentioned, Cyber.Bet like to change their offers fairly frequently. All current and expired promotions are available to view on the Promos page, which can be found via the News tab at the top of the page.

    Live Betting at Cyber.Bet

As with other aspects of the site, the live streaming and in-play betting is most developed for esports events. Cyber.Bet has a Twitch stream embedded for each live esports game so punters can watch and place bets in real time.

Live betting is also available for some other sports as well. On the home page, all the current sports events are displayed in the centre of the screen, and you can click to be taken through to the page with the full odds and betting markets. Some football matches have a live match simulator showing the state of play.

Unfortunately, some users have reported that the site can suffer lags during live betting. There is also no cash out betting option available – once a bet is placed either before or during play then it must be seen through to its conclusion.

    Is Cyber.Bet Mobile Friendly?

As a new, custom-built site, Cyber.Bet was designed to be mobile-facing from the outset. Mobile users will find that the site is fully optimised for small devices, and just as easy to use as with a PC. The layout has been adapted for a smaller screen, but all of the functionality remains, including the live streaming via Twitch.

Android users also have the option to download a native app from the Cyber.Bet website. This cannot be found in the Play Store due to restrictions on real money casino and betting apps. Instead, users must click on the panel in the scrolling banner at the top of the home page titled ‘Install Right Now!’. This will start the automatic download of the APK file, which can then be installed from the mobile download file. Before installation, ensure that the phone settings allow the installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store.

iOS users will need to stick with the mobile browser site, but this should not present any problems. There is even an option to open the desktop browser via mobile.

    Cyber.Bet Site Design

Rather than run Cyber.Bet on a third-party sports betting platform template, the site was designed in-house. Many users are critical of the way that the site looks, comparing the appearance to a spreadsheet. The colour scheme is minimal, using a few primary colours on a white background that some complain is too bright.

The design remains similar across the PC, mobile browser and Android app versions of the site. The white space is more prominent in PC, with the smaller screen versions emphasising the blue and yellow accents. It is a plain and functional design, and the lack of animation or graphics helps pages to load more quickly.

Our own opinion is that the look and design of the site is quite pleasant. Everything is easy to see, and there are no busy graphics or animations to distract attention from the content. More modern sites seem to be taking this approach to design, perhaps in response to user feedback.

    Cyber.Bet Site Usability

Besides loading quickly, the site is overall relatively easy to navigate and use. Information is displayed in rows at the top of the page, with icons representing various sports. These can be filtered by country, league and start time. To the right is the bet slip, and here bets can be placed by clicking on the odds. Click on more than one set of odds, and you can opt to make a combo bet.

In the centre of the screen the events are displayed, and you can choose which appear here by applying the filters or selecting the games. There are multiple ways to find what you are looking for, including a search function and a drop-down menu that opens when you click on the ellipses at the top right.

What is the Cyber.Bet Operating License?

Cyber.Bet are based and licensed in Curaçao (license number 8048/JAZ2019-062) with Antillephone N.V. This is one of four license issuers in Curaçao and widely considered to be the best and most responsive to inquiries and complaints. It is also the only licensor to sanction cryptocurrency as a payment option for online casinos and sports wagering sites.

Although a Curaçao license is seen as less trustworthy than one issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, this is not necessarily the case at all. A Curaçao license still guarantees high standards of security for customer financial and personal data. Sites must comply with strict protocols and licenses will be revoked if they fail to do so. Providing services in restricted countries will have the same result.

What are the Special Features at Cyber.Bet?

As an esports betting site, the special features at Cyber.Bet are not as numerous as some sites with a wider range of sports betting markets. Key features that we would like to see are a bet edit and a cash out function. Since this is a site that appears to add functionality fairly frequently, we can hope to see these in the future.

At present, the two main special features are the embedded Twitch live streaming for esports, and the option to enable push notifications. The live stream adds a lot of value for esports fans, enabling full immersion in the games as they unfold. With push notifications enabled, customers can stay informed and up to date so they never miss an important event.

Another aspect worth mentioning is the News section, which features articles on esports and more, as well as detailed betting guides. Any updates to the site, such as the addition of new sports or markets, will also be announced here.

    Payment Methods

    Deposits

Cyber.Bet offers numerous payment options, including some cryptocurrencies. Whether you prefer to do a direct transfer from a bank account credit card, or use one of the many e-wallets, phone payment services or other online payment platforms, you are sure to find a method that suits you. The ways to pay vary by region, but for the Indian market the choices are as follows:

For all these methods, the minimum deposit is ₹200, and the maximum for a single deposit is ₹100,000. At present it is also possible to use three different cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin, Tether and Ethereum. The maximum deposit using crypto remains the same, but the minimum varies slightly. When using Tether, a minimum deposit of ₹1200 is required.

In most cases, deposits appear instantly in the casino account. All deposit methods are free of fees and charges.

    Withdrawals

With a few exceptions, the same methods that are provided for deposits can also be used for withdrawals. Cyber.Bet does not impose any fees on moving money out of the casino account, but there are some limitations to the withdrawal process. Moving money to a cryptocurrency wallet may be faster, but Cyber.Bet does not guarantee withdrawals in anything less than two working days.

There are also limits on how much can be withdrawn – a minimum of €20 (approx. ₹1700) and a maximum of €5000 (approx. ₹4.3 lakhs) per transaction. Since the win limit is set at €10,000, no more than this can be withdrawn using multiple transactions.

    Security at Cyber.Bet

One of the requirements for receiving a gambling license is to guarantee the security of all data on the site. The fact that Cyber.Bet hold their Curaçao license is proof that the site follows security protocols. All data, personal and financial information is protected with SSL encryption. Like any licensed online gambling site, it is as safe and secure as an online bank.

We are also pleased to note that Cyber.Bet is a member of the Esports Integrity Commission (esic.gg). This organisation was set up to protect professional esports from manipulation and cheating, and Cyber.Bet joined in 2020 to help fight match-fixing. The membership shows that Cyber.Bet is a reliable, trustworthy and globally respected site.

    Customer Support

We were very impressed by the quality of the customer service at Cyber.Bet. The operator offers three methods of contact – phone, email and live chat. The best way to make contact is via the live chat service – simply click the support icon at the top of the page.

Live chat is open 24/7 so customers should always get a swift answer to any questions. Our own query was picked up and dealt with within a few minutes, and the agent was helpful and friendly. We also note that the support team are very active in several online review forums, responding to all comments and offering additional help to those experiencing issues. The site also has a comprehensive FAQ section, which even includes short ‘how to’ videos on everything from opening an account to placing a bet.

    Cyber.Bet Casino

At the time of writing, Cyber.Bet were in the process of launching a casino games section. The casino is still in its early stages, and currently has fewer than 100 titles available. All the games are at present from the provider Playson. They certainly won’t win the best Indian online casino award, but for most bettors this should be more than enough. Considering how quickly Cyber.Bet has grown its sports betting selection, we can expect to see many more casino games added as time goes on.

    Our Experience with Cyber.Bet

First and foremost, Cyber.Bet is an excellent site if you are looking to bet on esports. In this category they are second to none, and we recommend them highly. The site creators chose to specialise in esports betting, and they offer a wide range of markets and some of the best odds around. They also cover games and tournaments that other betting sites do not.

The site itself is clean, simple and easy to navigate. The placing of bets is also straightforward and intuitive – and there is a video guide to help. All the functionality is great, from the large range of banking options to the 24-hour live chat support. The win limit may put some off, but that only applies to those who want to make high-roller bets.

While the welcome bonus is worth up to €1000, this is only a 50% deposit match and so not as generous as it first appears. Once a member of the site however, punters are treated to a lot of regularly updated special offers and promotions.

When it comes to sports betting outside of esports, Cyber.Bet still has a way to go. Customers in India will be disappointed by the lack of cricket coverage, and even football fans have fewer options than they do at competing sites. Bear in mind though, that this is a rapidly growing operator. Having spent time focusing on building a reputation within the esports community, it is likely that in future there will be more work done on improving the general sportsbook.
